Notice of Intent to Issue a Draft Major Source Permit for the Clear River Energy Center and Opportunity for Public Comment

The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM) hereby gives notice regarding its proposal to issue a Major Source Permit to Clear River Energy Center.  Invenergy Thermal Development LLC proposes to install a combined-cycle electrical power generating facility located along Wallum Lake Road (Route 100) in Burrillville, Rhode Island.
The public comment period for this draft permit will begin today, Thursday, May 16, 2019, and continue until Monday, July 15, 2019.  A public hearing for interested persons to appear and submit written or oral comments on the draft permit will be held prior to the end of the public comment period.  A public notice will be published announcing the date, time and location of such hearing.
