[Owrinfo] Updated Appendix A Stormwater Management Plan Checklist

Attention Stormwater Construction Permitting Design Professionals:

UPDATE:
RIDEM Office of Water Resources (OWR) is pleased to announce that our Stormwater Engineers have collaborated with American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) to update the Appendix A Stormwater Management Plan Checklist<http://www.dem.ri.gov/programs/benviron/water/permits/swcoord/cheklist.docx>. Edits were focused on consolidating and clarifying content, updating references to the Stormwater Rules<https://rules.sos.ri.gov/regulations/part/250-150-10-8>, providing additional instruction and links to guidance documents, and formatting to increase functionality.

Please use the updated form<http://www.dem.ri.gov/programs/benviron/water/permits/swcoord/cheklist.docx>, where required, for all future submissions.

REMINDERS:
RIDEM, at its discretion, may inspect any permitted construction site.  Owners and operators can avoid penalties by complying with all permit conditions, including, but not limited to: maintaining all required signed Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Plans onsite; conducting required inspections and maintaining inspection records onsite; properly installing, monitoring and maintaining erosion and sediment controls; avoiding environmental impacts; and keeping all construction and disturbance activity within the approved limits of disturbance.

Remember to notify RIDEM, in writing, of the anticipated start date and of the contractor's contact information by submitting the Notice of Start of Construction form<http://www.dem.ri.gov/programs/benviron/water/permits/swcoord/soc.xlsx> prior to the commencement of any site alterations or construction activity.

Remember to notify RIDEM, in writing, upon completion of a project by submitting the Notice of Termination form<http://www.dem.ri.gov/programs/benviron/water/permits/swcoord/not.xlsx>.
