We will be holding the meeting in the Phil Parsons Media Theater room which is located on the first floor past the fish pond and bookstore. Attendees can park in Lot C1 or C2 on the south side of the building and come in through Door # 2. Additionally there will be signage directing guests where to go. As you can see we have a packed agenda for this meeting so please arrive promptly for 9:30 or even a little earlier, there will also be coffee and light snacks available for you, courtesy of NEIT.

I also wanted to notify everyone about the launch of the End Family Fire Scholarship Competition. End Family Fire (https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__www.endfamilyfire.org_&d=DwIFAg&c=tSLbvWYfvulPN3G_n48TUw&r=dzyT-xeRX73lG2zc12dRKOniOGA-M_LyRlpOYwzZdxA&m=P5_SyQjdt7TgPVTWKYWxUE479CqRd970322Gw4RiJhA&s=Q585mdvqqOB0YegkD-o4VyN4ZHptueCtSrpVbnCYBYc&e=), is a public health awareness campaign that seeks to address access to firearms in homes throughout the U.S. The scholarship competition challenges high school and college students to create a video which brings awareness to the issue of family fire and promotes safe gun storage as a way to prevent such tragedies.
Two (2) winning entries will be selected, one from high school and one from college, and each will receive a $5,000 scholarship to be used toward college, university, or trade school tuition, fees and/or supplies. The winners will also have the opportunity to have their video used by the Ad Council as an official End Family Fire campaign PSA, with a potential to be distributed nationally to over 1,600 television stations. Video submissions are due by June 16, 2019.
