[Rimarinefisheries] Regulation amendments

Hello,

The following RI Marine Fisheries Regulations (RIMFR) were filed May 11, 2016, as a result of public hearings held on February 16 and March 23, 2016, and RI Marine Fisheries Council meetings held on March 7 and April 20, 2016.  Regulations become effective on May 31, 2016 and are as follows:


*         Part 1 - Definitions:  New regulation adopted in conjunction of repeal of existing regulations Part I - Legislative Findings;

*         Part 3 - Finfish:  2016 regulations for recreational black sea bass<http://www.dem.ri.gov/programs/bnatres/fishwild/anregs/05122016bsb.pdf>;

*         Part 4 - Shellfish:  Extension of oyster harvest moratorium in Quonochontaug Pond<http://www.dem.ri.gov/programs/bnatres/fishwild/anregs/05122016sf.pdf>;

*         Part 5 - Lobsters, Crabs and other Crustaceans:  New regulations for Jonah and Atlantic Rock Crab<http://www.dem.ri.gov/programs/bnatres/fishwild/anregs/05122016crus.pdf>;

*         Part 6 - General Equipment Provisions:  new gillnet regulations<http://www.dem.ri.gov/programs/bnatres/fishwild/anregs/05122016gill.pdf>;

*         Part 6 - General Equipment Provisions: newly adopted regulation in conjunction of repeal of existing regulations Part X (Equipment Restrictions), Part XI (Commercial Fisheries), Part XIII (Gillnet Regulations), and Part XIV (Fish Traps) as part of regulation re-structuring;
