Modification to possession limits and/or seasons for marine species regulated under quota



  1.  Beginning 12:00AM on Sunday, August 12, 2018, the commercial possession limit for Scup General Category will be 30,000 pounds per vessel per calendar week, until further notice;
  2.  Beginning 12:00AM on Wednesday, August 15, the commercial Striped Bass General Category fishery will CLOSE, until further notice.



Possession limits are subject to modification throughout the year; it is the responsibility of the licensed fisherman to comply with possession limits and all such modifications.  Current commercial possession limits can be found by calling (401) 423-1920, or visiting the Marine Fisheries webpage at http://www.dem.ri.gov/programs/fish-wildlife/marine-fisheries/mfsizes.php.
