PUBLIC NOTICE
PROPOSED REGULATION AMENDMENTS
Please be advised that the Division of Marine Fisheries has publicly noticed the following regulation(s) to consider proposed amendments:

  *   Part 3 – Finfish (250-RICR-90-00-3):<https://rules.sos.ri.gov/promulgations/part/250-90-00-3>
     *   Summary of Rulemaking Action:
        *   Proposed regulations for 2022 commercial black sea bass management (section 3.9.2(B))
        *   Proposed regulations for Cobia Management (section 3.37)
        *   Proposed purse seine vessel length for Menhaden Management Area (section 3.24.2(A)(2)(b)(4))
  *   Part 14 – Summer Flounder Exemption Certificate Program (250-RICR-90-00-14):<https://rules.sos.ri.gov/promulgations/part/250-90-00-14>
     *   Summary of Rulemaking Action:  Proposed programmatic changes to the Summer Flounder Exemption Certificate Program

A public hearing will be held Tuesday, November 9, 2021, 6:00pm, both in-person and virtually.

The public comment period ends on November 19, 2021, 4:00PM.  The RI Marine Fisheries Council<http://www.dem.ri.gov/programs/marine-fisheries/rimfc/RIMFC.php> is scheduled to meet on Tuesday, November 30 to provide their recommendations on the proposed rules to the Director.
