Congratulations to six Tax Division employees who have been named winners of the Rhode Island Attorney General's Justice Awards!
 
The winners are James Galvin, Jacques Moreau, David Sullivan, Peter McVay, Michael Canole, and Donald Englert.
 
The awards were announced this morning by Attorney General Peter F. Kilmartin ( http://www.ri.gov/press/view/17378 ).
 
The awards are given each year to people who have displayed an extraordinary commitment to justice. Attorney General Kilmartin honored the six Tax Division personnel because of their efforts last year in cracking a multi-state smuggling ring involving contraband cigarettes. 
 
The winners -- who include a number of people, including those from the Tax Division -- will formally receive their awards in a ceremony Wednesday night at the Attorney General's office.
