[Ritreewardens] Community Design Assistance opportunity

[RI Tree Wardens]

Good afternoon,

I just wanted to share with you that the RIDEM-DFE Urban & Community Forestry program is once again partnering with the URI Department of Landscape Architecture's Regenerative Community Design Lab (RCDL) to offer conceptual design services to communities at no cost for greenspaces in need of improvement.   The conceptual designs developed by the RCDL will provide a vision and a target to improve a community green space and can be used to provide a basis for pursuit of funding for future implementation.

Three communities are anticipated to be assisted in the summer of 2026.

Applications and additional information are available on the UCF webpage<https://dem.ri.gov/natural-resources-bureau/agriculture-and-forest-environment/forest-environment/urban-and-community/community-design >, and will be accepted through Friday, March 20th at 4 pm.
