The STEW-MAP SNE supports a broader understanding of the existing environmental stewardship networks and supports the capacity building of the groups who take care of the environment. The methodology was developed by the USDA Forest Service and brought to the Southeast New England Program (SNEP) Region by SNEP Network Partner, Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and funded by the SNEP Network.

The SNEP Network launches a Buffer Restoration Guide website!

This month, the SNEP Network launched a web-based buffer resotration guide to assist public and private property owners in Rhode Island and Southeast Massachusetts who are interested in restoring and improving buffers along a river, pond, lake or the coast. The guide also highlights examples of buffer restoration and the SNEP communities that received landscape renderings of restored buffers.

The SNEP Network announces technical assistance awards for the 2022-2023 community assistance projects

Through the SNEP Network's 2022 Community Assistance Projects (CAP) Solicitation, the SNEP Network selected 10 projects with 8 SNEP communities and 1 Tribe in which to provide technical assistance. The Community Assistance Projects offer in-depth technical, financial, and training assistance to municipalities, Tribes, and non-profits in the SNEP region to build their local capacity.
