Help Protect Rhode Island's Lakes and Ponds!
DEM is hosting four trainings to instruct volunteers on how to educate and encourage boaters at state boat ramps to clean off plant debris from their boat, trailer, and gear before and after launching their boat. Volunteers will also collect data on boat traffic, how often plants are found on boats, and the most common areas where weeds are recorded
Our Communications Team at RIDEM has kindly prepared both a website, and 4 separate facebook events, to more easily share and invite folks to come to the volunteer trainings, so please share on your socials. I have attached a flyer in both pdf format, as well as a jpg picture file for ease of sharing. Note: regardless of how its shared, volunteers should still register online<https://urldefense.com/v3/__http://register*20online__;JQ!!KKphUJtCzQ!PBHBKTYXL8FLdDf93NwUXnhrc_JkXsz6LbDGAOrJaTA-iaC6z0xHho7b_UylnyRz50j-LkU0U3Mlo_QC31SJYdoxFDVxbDtP3IP0$ [register%20online]> for the trainings to make sure we have enough materials for everyone. You can check facebook for on the "Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management" page and share from there, use the links below, or send folks directly to our website:
