Hello,

My name is Elizabeth Allen and I am a Librarian Trainee in my last semester at
the Queens College Graduate School of Library and Information Science. As a
requirement for graduation, I am completing a capstone project where I am
surveying librarians all across the United States to collect data about
certain Teen programs and services.

Specifically, this research will investigate how teen services librarians in
public libraries support civic literacy instruction through programs and
services. Civic literacy instruction can be present in many different types of
programs and services ranging from community service projects to book
discussions. It is my hope that this survey will take measure of how civic
literacy is present in public library teen services to identify patterns,
areas of opportunity, and areas of success.
