[Owtsinfo] Attention OWTS Professionals - Updated OWTS Rules - Effective November 25, 2018

The RIDEM recently re-promulgated the OWTS Rules to conform to a new format known as the R.I. Code of Regulations. The revised Rules Establishing Minimum Standards Relating to Location, Design, Construction and Maintenance of Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems will be in effect starting November 25, 2018.

The big change for OWTS practitioners is the fact that OWTS Rule numbers have changed and the Guidelines for the Design, Use and Maintenance of Pressurized Drainfields have become part of the OWTS Rules.

Look for Resources then click on Regulations/Forms. The direct link to the OWTS Rules is also provided here: https://rules.sos.ri.gov/regulations/part/250-150-10-6

Once on the RI Secretary of State web page you can download a pdf version of the OWTS Rules by clicking the "Regulation" tab.  This will show you the text of the rule and gives you the option to download the official version. Note that you will be able to view prior versions of the OWTS Rules by clicking the "History" tab.
