[Rimarinefisheries] Bay State Wind Geotechnical Survey to start January 17, 2018

The R/V Fugro Explorer will be conducting a geotechnical survey in the Bay State Wind area during January and February.  The coordinates of 30 sampling locations are provided on the attached Notice to Fishermen; mariners are requested to provide the vessel a wide berth.  Fishermen may obtain a laminated copy for onboard use by texting John Williamson (207) 939-7055.

Please also note that the R/V Ocean Researcher continues geophysical mapping of the Bay State Wind area.  That effort will be completed in March.  Both research vessels have experienced Fishing Industry Representatives onboard standing by on VHF channel 16.
