We haven’t officially registered as a Host Organization as we are still trying to sort out what age group division we’d like to host. This depends on where we get the most interest. We are wondering:

1.      If your organization has any interest in entering the official Rube Goldberg Contest this year and

2.      What age group your organization would enter

Teams can be in one of 3 age brackets: Upper Elementary or Apprentice (ages 8-11), Middle School (ages 11-14) or High School (ages 14-18).  Teams can be anywhere from 3 to 14 children and are coached by one or more teachers or parents or pretty much anadult who registers online as a Team Leader.

 There is a  registration fee of $395 per team payable to the Rube Goldberg Organization (Please do break it down by team member so it’s not overwhelming).  If your organization finds this amount of funding to be a limiting factor to your participation, please let us know and we will work with you to help obtain sponsorship. The teams work on their machine off site, then on Saturday, Feb 29th, they bring their machine to RIMOSA and run it, along with other regional teams from RI and MA, for trophies and prizes.  If they win, they will be eligible to attend the national on April 4th in Indiana!
